Why NAMLA?

In 2020, I along with Sara Abed, started the National Association of Minority Landscape Architects (NAMLA). My presentation will begin with my trajectory in landscape architecture; from my cultural background, to my education, to practice, and now as a teacher of landscape architecture. I will speak about how this trajectory prompted me to establish NAMLA.

I will focus specifically on the "Whys" of starting NAMLA, and the current experience of formulating the "Hows" and "Whats" of building the organization.
